Part of London based DW General Wood Machinists, DW Mouldings have invested heavily in high quality equipment for the Bedfordshire moulding mill. Three high specification Weinig Powermat moulders are capable of producing a wide range of standard and bespoke sections predominantly in North America and European temperate hardwoods to a very high standard with a fast turnaround.
Our high quality finishing line has been set up to use water based primer and lacquer, a further demonstration of the company’s commitment to the environment. A computer managed furnace has been recently added to burn all sawdust and waste, heating the factory and offices and reducing our carbon footprint.
We are proud that in our family company’s 50 year history, that we have not lost sight of our grandfather’s and great uncle’s commitment to quality rather than price. We maintain this by keeping all our processes under one roof. The raw lumber is cut to width. Profile templates are drawn out and converted into high speed steel cutters using sophisticated computer guided technology. The hardwood is efficiently machined by our powerful moulders and then spray lacquer finished. The end product is packed and delivered across the length and breadth of the UK by our prompt delivery service.
